Use of the collection

The museum’s collection contains approximately 1 000 000 objects: archaeological artefacts, jewellery and coin hoards, national costumes, traditional tools, applied arts, household objects, photographs, documents, maps, engravings, paintings, and other items of significance to Latvian history. The collections are located at Pulka iela 8, in the Museum Storage.

In order to research the museum’s collection in person, those interested are invited to fill out the contact form, indicating the topic of interest and the chronology. After receiving the form, a museum specialist will contact you.

Publication of images and other museum materials on the Internet, use in printed and digital publications, or for other commercial and non-commercial purposes, must be coordinated with the Latvian National Museum of History. Please complete the publication permission form and send it to the museum.
